Abstract :
Maximal ratio transmission is a transmit beamforming technique where multiple antennas are used both for transmission and reception. It can effectively increase the diversity order without modifying the receiver. In this letter, an expression for the probability of error of maximal ratio transmission is derived for the special case of two receive antennas and multiple transmit antennas.
