Abstract
The method of moments is used to solve Pocklington´s equation encountered in slot aperture problems. The Fourier transform is applied to eliminate the differential operator as well as the singularity of the kernel, resulting in a simple and numerically efficient expression for the moments matrix elements. The effect of using the reduced kernel approximation and also various subdomain basis and testing functions on the form of these elements is discussed. The validity of the methods is demonstrated for typical slot aperture examples
