Abstract
Firms are increasingly using a wide variety of strategies and technology tools for managing their innovation ecosystems for competitive advantage. This article describes the experience of a large global conglomerate at managing its innovation ecosystem in the last decade and the lessons learned. The authors clarify the role of disciplined autonomy to meet innovation challenges across industries and geographies and describe the ADROIT framework for tailoring IT systems and assessing the true economic value of innovations.
