Abstract :
A laser-diode pumped CW Nd:GdVO/sub 4/ green laser with periodically poled KTP is first reported. The TEM/sub 00/-mode green laser output power is 1.54 W at 4.44 W incident pump power, corresponding to an optical conversion of 31.5%, which is more than twice of that of the conventional KTP. The predicted results are compared with measured data and good agreement is reported.
