Abstract
In this paper, we propose a cooperative traffic transmission algorithm in a joint cellular and vehicular ad hoc hybrid network architecture. We focus on defining an algorithm aiming to select the appropriate gateway for a given source vehicle under the scope of vehicle to infrastructure communications. We consider the LTE Advanced infrastructure and propose a multi-criteria and attribute scheme named FQGwS algorithm. It is a QoS-balancing gateway selection algorithm where the decision over the gateway depends on the class of traffics to be transmitted to the infrastructure. A study of the complexity and the convergence of the algorithm is handled. Moreover, simulation results show that the packet loss is always lower than 1% and that the average delay never exceeds the delay constraint of the QoS class unlike when using the deterministic scheme.
