Abstract

This paper proposes a converter for conversion between MHEG-5 and HTML4.0 formats, based on a comparison of these formats. The Digital Audio-Visual Council (DAVIC) has adopted MHEG-5 as its multimedia presentation format for broadcast, while HTML is a standard multimedia presentation format of the WWW. Although there are many differences between the two formats, expectations of broadcast/Internet convergence are getting higher. The purpose of this converter is to reuse MHEG-5 content and HTML4.0 content with each other. When the purpose is accomplished, broadcast/Internet convergence will be improved
