  • Abstract
TOFD (Time of Flight Diffraction), one of the most advanced technologies in the field of NDT (Nondestructive Testing), is widely used in science and industry to evaluate the properties of material, component or system without causing damage. Experiments on TOFD show that signal is greatly disturbed by the noise received by the receiving probe. Based on the performance analysis of four different kinds of IIR filters with the aid of the DSP Builder, modeling and simulation are conducted to test the hardware with real TOFD signals. The design of TOFD receiving filter is finally achieved to suit the signal band and sampling frequency of TOFD.
