  • Abstract
    Multilayered one-dimensional isotropic nonlinear structure of Raman amplifier of optical signals consisted of alternate active metal layers and passive dielectric - optical photonic crystal (PC). Active media appears due to stimulated Raman scattering in frequency dispersive media embedded in a photonic band-gap material. Effective combination of photonic crystal and active media in the middle is demonstrated.
