Abstract :
In this paper we report our experiences in designing DE3TO, a tool to support the decisions about the delivery and the deployment models in the process of adoption of a cloud based solution for enterprises. The tool leverages a simple questionnaire to enable a user who is in charge of the decision about the model of deployment and delivery of a cloud service, to receive a score for each of the models depending on his enterprise particular needs. DE3TO has been created by collecting the enterprises´ experiences of successful use cases of cloud based solutions. As a validation we used the tool to verify how it would have worked on two different cases that can be found in literature.
