Abstract :
A recently reported time-varying two-dimensional structure is examined and appears quite robust to limit cycles owing to product rounding in a fixed-point implementation. From this realisation a `factored-coefficient´ structure is proposed which eliminates both row and column limit cycles. For a particular case a rigorous analysis of the equivalent factored-coefficient realisation leads to a simple test that can guarantee complete limit cycle free behaviour
