  • Abstract
The shielding concept of an electric vehicle´s drivetrain has matured over the recent past. But still, there are some issues that have to be solved. One part of the shielding concept are large multi-pole High Voltage (HV) connectors with low DC resistance. Their shape and the fact that they are built up from various components are a challenge when it comes to optimizations regarding the shielding effectiveness. The Line Injection Method (LIM) has been established by the car industry for measurement of the Transfer Impedance of these connectors. As a preparation for this kind of measurement a simple model of a HV connector is helpful. Therefore, the influence of different aperture configurations in a fully-rigid cable onto its Transfer Impedance is analyzed in this study. The measurement of the Transfer Impedance is performed with both the Line Injection and the Triaxial Method (TxM). The latter method is established for the measurement of rotationally symmetric coaxial components. Additionally, the measured values are compared to Kaden´s model of round apertures in tubular cable screens.
