Abstract :
An integrated low-noise patch-clamp sensor is implemented for single-molecule DNA analysis using a solid-state nanopore. By adopting an instrumentation amplifier and a compensation switch for the headstage, the input-offset voltage and the deleterious effects of input parasitic capacitances are minimised. This high-sensitivity sensor amplifier was fabricated in a 0.35 μm CMOS process and tested with the solid-state nanopore also developed.
