Abstract :
The use of Cepstrum (homomorphic deconvolution) processing simplifies cable discontinuity identification as compared to conventional time-domain reflectometry. Additionally, signal sources which approximate noise sources are fabricated and used; the use of signal sources whose spectral energies lie beyond the low-frequency power line harmonics permits minimization of a major interference contribution.
