Abstract
In wireless networks, sleep-based power saving mechanisms can reduce the energy consumption at the expense of additional packet delay. This paper proposes a queueing model to analyze the packet queueing delay. Compared with the existing models which consider downlink traffic only, both downlink and uplink traffic are considered in the analysis.
