Abstract :
A novel bipolar circuit technique for realising linear transconductance is described. The proposed circuit has superior linearity and temperature characteristics when compared with the conventional emitter-coupled pair with emitter degeneration. The theory of operation is presented and experimental results are used to verify theoretical predictions. The results show close agreement between predicted behaviour and experimental performance.
