  • Abstract
    Three 2.5Gbit/s CPFSK regenerators employing the technique of polarisation diversity detection have been stably operated in a field environment. A bit error rate of less than 10-14 has been achieved after signal transmission through 431 km of installed cables, most of which are submarine.
