This paper is a combined reprint of sections 201 and 202 of the Copyright Law of 1976 and of the analysis and discussion of copyright ownership by the House and Senate Committees on the Judiciary, Reports 94–1476 and 94–473, respectively, which have virtually identical text on this subject.
