Abstract :
A low-power analogue-to-digital converter (ADC) using a linear current-controlled oscillator (CCO) is presented. The circuit is fabricated in TSMC 0.18 m CMOS technology. The ADC has 10-bit resolution at maximum sampling rate of 1 MHz with 1.5 LSB integral nonlinearity and 0.25 LSB differential nonlinearity. The ADC consumes a maximum power of 3.5 mW from a 1.8 V supply at a frequency of 1.14 GHz CCO.
