Abstract :
The open research problem of geographically colocated cognitive radios (CRs) identifying one another in an infrastructure-less setting is considered in the paper. We propose novel metrics to capture the dynamic spectrum access by other CRs and primary users (PUs). These metrics are used by CRs across the network to pick the best “common” channel to communicate (referred to as a rendezvous channel).
