Abstract
Various aspects of design pertinent to the development of an integrated acousto-optic receiver (spectrum analyzer) are considered. The scattering of guided light by SAW has been modelled as a coupled-mode interaction. The model is used to develop design curves for wideband acoustic arrays and receiver efficiency. Spurious-free dynamic range is also investigated.
