Abstract :
The authors present the relationship between the linear minimum mean squared error (MMSE) detector and the symbol-level adaptive MMSE (SAM) detector. A study of the tap coefficient matrix of the centralised SAM detector shows that its computational complexity can be reduced. In addition, a constraint is imposed on the SAM to acquire a more accurate channel estimate
