Abstract
An efficient method of transient performance analysis of three-phase SCR voltage controlled induction machines is presented based on phase-variable modelling. The induction machine is modelled in a three-phase stationary frame. Consideration is given to transition from motor to generator operation with the in-line thyristors present. Examples illustrate applications of the proposed method and the results obtained.
