Abstract :
As known, partial discharge (PD) measuring systems usually are classified according to their frequency band (wide or narrow), that also corresponds to the easiest verifiable parameter. However, the connection between the errors introduced by a given measuring system and its frequency response can be shown only qualitatively. On the contrary, by representing its behavior in the time domain, we can demonstrate in a quantitative way that to limit both the integration and the superposition errors, corresponds to contradictory requirements for the parameters of the transfer impedance
