Abstract :
The efficiency of Cognitive Radio Networks (CRNs) depends on the used spectrum allocation algorithms. In this paper, we propose a new Dynamic Spectrum Allocation (DSA) algorithm that jointly considers the geographical locations of the nodes along with fading, quality of the communication links, interference between the primary and the secondary networks, the activity of the users, and the fairness between the Secondary Users (SUs). Simulation results show achieving a high level of channel utilization when using the proposed algorithm.
