Abstract :
A new model reduction technique for the approximation of balanced realization is introduced. The method involves a further generalization of the generalized singular perturbation approximation by adding several parameters that can be tuned according to a specified performance criterion. An a priori bound can be computed guaranteeing the quality of the approximated model in the whole range of parameter variations. Two numerical examples conclude this paper
