Abstract
Experimental results are presented into the heating effects on heavy oil of electromagnetic and ultrasonic waves, both singly and combined. The results show that the heating efficiency of electromagnetic waves is higher than that of ultrasonic waves and that the heating effect of the two types of wave combined is basically equivalent to the sum of the effects of each wave separately
