Abstract :
Sum-frequency mixing of two continuous wave non-planar Nd:YAG ring oscillators (NPROs) at 1064 and 1357 nm have been used to generate tunable, single-frequency radiation at 596 nm. An output power of 16.7 mW was obtained by employing periodically poled KTiOPO4 (PPKTP) as the frequency converter. An absorption curve of iodine vapour was recorded to demonstrate the tunability of this system
