Abstract
Most of the current telemedicine applications have characteristics like “second medical opinion,” “access to remote medical knowledge bases,” and “remote assistance,” ranging from simple to very complex scenarios (Brell, 2009). These are applications that chiefly aim to provide technical support to the decision-making of nonspecialist doctors, who often work in places far from advanced medical centers.
