Abstract
The work presents a method for determining electric and magnetic losses generated within rotary electric machines with the application of neural networks. The proposed neural network allows determination of the intensities of the internal sources of heat generation due to electrical and magnetic losses inside the windings and magnetic circuits of the electric motor making use of the temperatures, the convective heat transfer coefficient and the elapsed working time at the moment of temperature measurements.
