Abstract
This paper presents a method of acquiring the optimum path for a short distance for car-like vehicle. Whenever a vehicle needs to move from one location to another that is close with each other, it is either curve - straight line - curve (CSC) segments or all curves (CCC) segments are needed to solve the problem. The position and orientation of the vehicle should be taken into consideration to determine the shortest path between initial and desire location.
