Abstract :
The ninety-seventh meeting of the American Institute of Mining Engineers is to be held next autumn, and will embrace sessions at Spokane, Seattle, Salt Lake City, and a trip through Yellowstone Park. The particular time selected for the meeting has been dictated by several considerations. The celebration of the one hundred and fortieth anniversary of the discovery of San Francisco Bay begins October 19. The annual meeting of the American Mining Congress will begin at Goldfield, Nevada, October 25. The Alaska-Pacific-Yukon Exposition, which is to be held at Seattle, closes October 16. As the Yellowstone National Park is closed to visitors September 25, the date for the start of the Institute party has been set for September 23.
