Abstract :
The relationship between crosstalk and fabrication errors in a waveguide grating router is derived. The average crosstalk power from each unwanted channel is simply the ratio of the errors variance to the effective number of arms Neff hence it can be reduced by increasing Neff. Very low levels of crosstalk are reported
