Abstract :
A new numerical method, termed the dimension-descent technique, for analysing electromagnetic problems is presented, which allows a solution to electromagnetic problems to be found in different accuracy levels with error correction in each level determined in a reduced-dimension space. It therefore reduces both the CPU time and the computer-storage requirement. Several wire antennas are analysed and the calculated results are compared with those obtained by using a conventional method of moments or available in published literatures
