    What technologies offer the most promising careers to electrical engineers? The current choice of engineers, as revealed in the IEEE Spectrum/Louis Harris survey, could have been surmised from the headlines of major newspapers and magazines: computer software. Seventyfive percent of those queried in the survey rated it among the most promising specialties.
