Abstract :
The February 2011 issue of the IEEE Transactions on Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation will be dedicated to honor the life-long achievements of Professor Gerhard M. Sessler on the occasion of his 80th birthday. Professor Gerhard Sessler is the nestor of electret science and a leading researcher in the areas of dielectrics, electroacoustics, and communications technology.
