Abstract :
The authors report experimental observation of dual relaxation-oscillations and their dynamical behaviour that occurs in all-PM Er/Yb fibre ring-lasers. The dual relaxation-oscillations are the results of unambiguous two orthogonal-polarisation modes that exist in an all-PM cavity. Varying the initial cavity conditions controls the dynamical behaviour between the two relaxation-oscillations. A simple model was used to simulate the experimental results, which are in good agreement with the observed results
