Abstract
The quantitative study of surface wave propagation in a new class of printed-circuit antennas named chirostrip antennas is given. It is shown that by using lossless chiral materials as substrates of such antennas, surface wave power can be significantly reduced. This design provides a promising solution for highly efficient, wideband printed-circuit antennas.
