Abstract :
A silicon bipolar master-slave D flipflop (MS-DFF) IC has been realised in an advanced 1 mu m selfaligning bipolar technology. The circuit operates up to 11 Gbit/s at 5 V supply voltage. This is the highest bit rate reported for a MS-DFF in silicon.
