Abstract
Spectral slicing is proposed to support broadcast services on WDM passive optical networks. The receiver performance in high-speed WDM systems using spectrally sliced spontaneous emission sources is studied. The effects of spontaneous-spontaneous emission beat noise on both pin and APD receivers are investigated experimentally
