Abstract :
Shows for the first time transmission of a 640Gbit/s data signal over 60km. The key to success is the generation of a 250fs pulse train using a 10GHz fibre laser and an adiabatic soliton pulse compressor with a dispersion-decreasing fibre and demultiplexing with a high speed nonlinear optical loop mirror (NOLM), This experiment was based on our previous work on terabit/s pulse generation and demultiplexing
