Originally founded in 1884, the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers) is a nonprofit professional association, the largest in the world devoted to advancing technological innovation in electrical, electronic engineering, and related fields. The association counts more than 400,000 members in more than 150 countries. With its 4,500 members, the IEEE Italy Section is one of the largest sections in Europe.
