Abstract :
An innovative special vibration which provides a new method for vibratory gyroscopes is proposed. This special vibration could be used as reference vibration for sensing two-axis angular rates. A new method of fixing the device enhances its accuracy and resistance to shock. Simulation results show that when the special vibration is driven at a driving frequency (303 kHz), the device has the highest sensitivity. That special vibration is the optimal special vibration. Furthermore, a real device is designed and fabricated. The optimal special vibration of the fabricated device is found in the experiment.
