Abstract :
We present a Bayesian solution to the problem of multiple direction of arrival (DOA) detection/estimation from a single temporal observation of array data, where the array can be of general configuration. The proposed method consists of multiple-step likelihood marginalizations using noninformative priors selected specifically to allow valid comparison of alternative model orders. This yields a novel DOA estimation cost function and a new detection algorithm useful for the single-snapshot case.
