Abstract :
The paper presents an approximate method of periodically linear time-varying (PLTV) digital filter (DF) synthesis through mean values of their coefficients in time. The recursive and nonrecursive PLTV DFs of the first, second and arbitrary orders are considered. It is shown that PLTV DFs have distinguishing features which give them advantages in some applications in comparison with linear time-invariant (LTI) DFs
