Abstract :
Theoretical calculation is made of the space charge in a thermionic diode having cylindrical symmetry, taking account of the distributed initial velocities of the emitted electrons. Curves are given from which the theoretical volt-ampere characteristic can be found. The mathematical method is detailed in Appendices.
