Abstract
The work described has been concerned with developing a wide-band transition to match a component in W.G.10 waveguide to a coaxial component having a characteristic impedance of 50Ω, over the frequency band 2.5-4.1 Gc/s. The coaxial termination is of a size suitable for termination in N, C or any similar 50Ωcoaxial connection. In the design described, the waveguide and the coaxial connector have a common axis, so that the design could be readily adapted for use in a rotating joint. Transitions have been developed with a maximum reflection coefficient of about 0.1 over the band.
