Some properties of the waveguide Y-circulator

A study has been carried out on waveguide Y-circulators, and experimental results are given for a series of ferrite geometries. It is shown that these results are in accordance with the predictions of the scattering-matrix theory, and, on this basis, a technique for increasing the bandwidth of the circulators is evolved. The performance of a series of broad-band circulators in the frequency range 5¿12Gc/s is given.
