Abstract :
The traditional clinical decision-making was typically a one-way process dominated by physicians. This neglects of other stakeholders´ input caused problems in patients´ discontent and medical costs. This article presents two multi-criteria methods, Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Analytic Network Process (ANP) to incorporate various decision factors of medical, economic and clinical aspects, quantified and combined for the consensus in intervention selection. More specifically we study the selection of three conventional interventions for type-2 diabetes including change of life-style, metformin usage, and insulin injection treatment.
