Abstract :
The three domination building models usually are only a surface model in the GIS field, which is lacking of the inner spatial partition and varieties of information about the building. BIM model always represents a single building. The representation includes a lot of the building information, but is short of geographical spatial relation with other ground objects. The study tries to give a method which BIM model can be used in a GIS environment through the model transformation, namely, IFC entity model of BIM can be converted to GIM surface model of GIS.
