Abstract :
Wind speed globally observed by the Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer-2 (AMSR2) on the Global Change Observation Mission-W1 (GCOM-W1) satellite was evaluated by comparisons with offshore buoy measurements and outputs from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) Interim Reanalysis (ERA-Interim).
